Who are we

Iron Phoenix is an all-inclusive gym, suitable for everyone, regardless of age or current level of fitness.

We offer small group sessions run by friendly and qualified coaches.
Our sessions are high intensity, functional fitness classes that combine cardiovascular training, weight training, gymnastics, with a maximum of 12-16 people.

Getting started at Iron Phoenix?

New to High Intensity Exercise/ Olympic Lifting

We offer a free taster session to anyone who is new to high intensity/ Olympic lifting or gymnastics training. Taster sessions vary from week to week but involve movements that can be performed regardless of training experience.

Please detail any previous or current training experience, this information will be passed on to the coach whose taster session you attend, so they know who to expect and if any adaptations need to be made.

Next Step

Should you enjoy your taster session, the next step is an induction, where a coach will demonstrate and teach you the foundational movements we perform at Iron Phoenix.

For new starters we have an Intro offer for £100, which includes the induction, plus 31 days of unlimited membership. You have access to the following sessions during the 31 days – WOD, Olympic Lifting, Gymnastics, Functional Bodybuilding, and L.I.F.T.

Experienced Athletes

If you have at least 3 months of experience in high-intensity functional fitness, have completed an induction at another facility, and are confident with Olympic lifting and gymnastics, you’re welcome to join our classes without an induction.

We welcome experienced drop-ins!
Drop-in fee starts from £9.
If you join one of our monthly memberships within 1 month, we’ll refund your drop-in fee.

WOD

(Workout of the Day) – Our signature high-intensity functional fitness class. Expect a mix of resistance training, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and cardio. Sessions vary from individual to partner workouts, with guided weights and progressions to help you continually level up.

Olympic Lifting

This class focuses on the core Olympic lifts—Cleans, Snatches, and Jerks—alongside supplementary movements to help you improve strength, technique, and confidence under the bar.

L.I.F.T*

(Longevity in Fitness Training)
A mixed-modal metabolic conditioning class perfect for beginners and seasoned athletes alike. You choose the weights and scaling based on how you’re feeling that day—expect a good sweat, a solid workout, and plenty of feel-good vibes.

Conditioning*

Build your engine through structured cardio-based workouts using running, rowing, skiing, and biking. This class is all about improving endurance in a fun, team-focused environment

Functional Pump*

A strength-focused class combining powerlifting movements (squats, deadlifts, presses) with bodybuilding-style accessory work to build full-body strength and get that post-lift pump.

*No induction required.

Kids + Youth Fitness

Our Kids + Youth sessions follow a dedicated program geared and designed for kids and teenagers of all abilities and their developmental needs; physically, mentally, and socially.

Our aim is to help them to develop a lifelong love of health and fitness, that is fun and inclusive. The methods used to teach movement within this program are broad, general, and inclusive meaning anyone can learn, from the youth athlete to the kid who’s never been exposed to exercise. Participants will learn movement patterns for the squat, deadlift, press, and more, through age-appropriate progressions and games with their own body weight or equipment that is easily managed by their age group. As health isn’t just about being active, our classes also include discussions on nutrition, sleep, stress, and other aspects of our lifestyle that impact our general wellbeing.

The first session is free, drop in sessions are £8 or term block bookings are £39 (6 week term).
